The real difference between BB, CC and DD creams

The BB cream (or beauty balm) boom that started in 2012 created a whole new category of hybrid makeup-meets-skincare products. BB creams are billed as one-tube wonders that act as a primer, makeup, skincare and SPF all in one. First popularized in Asia, North American women embraced BB creams to the tune of nearly $36 million dollars plus in 2012 alone.

Since they were launched last year as one-size-fits all, BBs have spread their wings with more diverse offerings for different skin types and concerns (tackling breakouts to oversized pores and even bronze-tinted versions for summer). The BB family is growing beyond the tube, complete with sibling spinoffs like BB concealers, BB eye creams and BB cleansers, all offering a streamlined approach to get you out the door more quickly.

CC creams
Think of it this way: BB creams are a makeup product with built-in skin care benefits; CC creams are skin care products with added colour and coverage. Again, CC creams have been around for a while in Asia (beauty junkies were stocking up on Chanel’s Asian version) and CC creams started sprouting up in Canada in early 2013. They are all about “complexion correcting” over time – packed with more active skincare ingredients, they aim to reverse existing skin issues like dark spots, and have more coverage so trouble spots are camouflaged. More mature skin types tend to gravitate toward CC creams because they’re more moisturizing and the active ingredients help boost collagen production, so fine lines and wrinkles look less apparent.

DD creams explained
The next beauty initials gaining momentum are “DD.”  – is said to be a “Dynamic Do-All” cream and “a marriage of high-quality skincare and luxurious makeup,” according to press materials. While we haven’t tried it yet, at first glance it seems to be very similar to CC creams as it has anti-aging ingredients (including matrixyl, a peptide that treats fine lines) as well as more coverage in four different shades. DD creams are so new that there are differing opinions on what the “DD” stands for. While Julep’s version stands by “Dynamic Do-all,” other companies are calling DD creams “disguise and diminish,” and there’s whispers of DD cream launches being targeted for the body as “daily defense” creams.

Are EE creams next?
While we can’t rule out EE creams (and what they’d be branded as – “Everything Else” creams, perhaps?), it seems there’s a saturation point with beauty lovers – is trading up to the next letter really a game-changer? But what is clear is that no matter what formula you settle on, women can’t get enough of products that promise to simplify their beauty routine. After all, who can resist getting more beauty benefits in fewer steps?

UFC e Artes Marciais - Vocabulário em inglês

O UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) é um dos eventos de maior popularidade e está entre os que mais crescem hoje em dia. Inspirado nos torneios de vale tudo, o UFC adotou regras mais definidas suavizando os riscos de violência dos antigos torneios. Esta modalidade veio para ocupar o lugar deixado pelo boxe, que perdeu bastante espaço nos últimos anos, muito por causa da falta de grandes nomes, que mantinham o interesse do público no esporte.

Significado de Home Office

Home Office, também conhecido pela sigla SOHO (Small Office and Home Office) que significa escritório em casa. O home office é normalmente usado por trabalhadores independentes, além disso algumas empresas possuem este sistema de trabalho quando os funcionários não precisam ou não podem trabalhar no escritório.

Um espaço destinado à exposição de peças e produtos de uma companhia, podendo ir de automóveis a objetos para cozinha. No campo da moda, o showroom é um lugar onde pode-se ver toda a coleção de uma ou mais marcas, um espaço criado para vendas no atacado. Duty-free shops - História

Duty-free shops ou free shops são lojas localizadas no interior de salas de embarque e desembarque de aeroportos onde produtos são vendidos com isenção ou redução de impostos.
Em alguns países, embora existam aeroportos internacionais, há duty-free shops espalhadas pela cidade. O Uruguai e a Argentina são um exemplo disto.
Duty-free shops existem também na zona internacional de portos e em navios de passageiros e balsas com destino internacional.
Nas lojas de duty-free vendem-se produtos que por vezes não podem passar conosco, tal como água.
No Brasil, os duty-frees são negócios permitidos como forma de concessão pelas administradoras de portos e aeroportos de todo o país, e devem seguir à risca as regras previstas pela portaria 204, lei que regulamenta o funcionamento de lojas francas em portos e aeroportos do país.
Durante mais de 20 anos a principal empresa no Brasil a explorar esse serviço foi a Brasif, que em 2006 foi vendida a um grupo internacional chamado Dufry, que é uma gigante multi-nacional do ramo de varejo de viagens.

Outlet - história

Outlet é a denominação para o novo mercado de vendas a retalho (varejo), no qual os produtores e industriais vendem seus produtos directamente ao público. As lojas são abertas, tais como num shopping, e localizam-se nas saídas das grandes cidades ou regiões metropolitanas, daí o nome Outlet. A redução dos custos de propaganda, manutenção, e mesmo os lucros das redes varejistas, possibilita a venda de marcas comerciais famosas, grifes de luxo, a preços mais acessíveis. Nos Estados Unidos, denominava-se tradicionalmente como Factory Outlet uma loja ligada a uma fábrica ou armazém onde por vezes era permitido aos clientes assistir ao processo de produção. No uso atual, chama-se de Outlet Store os centros de compras temáticos com lojas onde os fabricantes vendem seus produtos diretamente para o consumidor final. A invenção do Factory Outlet é muitas vezes creditada a Harold Alfond, fundador da Dexter Shoe Company.

Os Outlets apareceram pela primeira vez no leste dos Estados Unidos na década de 1930. O conceito surgiu das lojas de fábrica que passaram a oferecer aos empregados a preços baixos os produtos excedentes ou danificados. Este conceito permaneceu até a década de 1970. Depois que o público se expandiu para não funcionários, em 1936 a Anderson-Little (marca de roupas masculinas) abriu a primeira loja independente das fábricas.
